Sex Drive Over 40

Rate this Entry
I read an interesting article today on how sex drive changes with age. If you are a male over the age of 40, you may have noticed these changes beginning. Here's a quote I found interesting-

'Men face bigger chances of erectile dysfunction as a lot of health-related problems like heart diseases, diabetes, cholesterol etc. take place and so, they have to constantly consume medicinal drugs that may affect their libido.'

Now, whle I wholeheartedly respect the medical community, I am going to figure I might have just a little more experience on the subject, so I will share with you what I know...

1. Testosterone Levels Change With Age-
True as it is, this is completely unnecessary! There are so many techniques and tools that there's no reason the lion in you shouldn't emerge when the mood arises! I have discussed previously in a blog about edging...and it can double your t levels faster than shots! Wait, did I just say shots? Yes! First things, first. Make an appt with your doc to test t levels. If you are even on the lower side of normal, insist on shots. This will be of great help, but don't forget to add in edging...with a partner or without.

2. For Men Over 40, It's More Than Just Physical-
Sure, when you were 17, the breeze could bring on a furious hard on that refused to subside. But after 40, an interesting change takes place, and if the reason I PREFER to see men in this age group! Suddenly, that immediate hard on needs more than an ample bosom, or sexy butt to get stand up and salute! A little bit of mental and emotional stimulation is also needed to really feel aroused. Where as a 5 min. session would do ya at 17, suddenly the seduction, the sesuality, the physical touch means so much more when it comes to climaxing. The deeper and more enticing the connection, the better the orgasm!

3. Keep a Healthy Weight, Exercise Daily
Yes, not all the answers are easy. But I guarantee that if you exercise daily and eat right, you will have better orgasms and be ready to play more often!! This doesn't mean you need to be Jason Momoa, just eat right, work that body, and shy away from drinking too much. You may also consider zinc supplements with your regular multi.

4. Guilt Plays A Part
Let's face it, as men reach 40 and beyond, so do their partners. As women age, they face menopause and other factors that cause decrease in arousal and activity. While men are still being aroused, even in the produce section by some pretty thing in a sundress. Men are visual creatures, what did you expect? And while they love their partners, their libido didn't change...what to do? My recommendation is to enjoy your libido while you still have it, but be respectul. You don't want to leave your partner, best friend, or your money, so keep away from the secretary at work, the cute barista, or the milf neighbor that gives you the eye, LOL. Do it responsibly, that way play time doesn't interfere with the rest of your life.

5. Don't Get Psyched Out!
Had a situation? Didn't perform the way you like? Did you know men can be so psyched out by one experience, it can actually starte a psychological reaction that causes so much anxiety it can inhibit future fun. Don't let this happen by accepting that stress, a bad night's sleep, a medicatiion, etc. doesn't change your manlihood. It's a sign to give yourself some grace. You're not a porn star, but I'm pretty sure even porn star's have their bad days. Talk to your potential partner about your concerns.I can help take the Orgasm out of the way, oftentimes relieving performance anxiety. I appreciate you sharing with me what's going on in your head, as it only heightens our interaction.

Now, go out and have fun!
