Service Type: Escort

Here's this month's updates. However you can help makes a difference. This case deserves your support because it has a lot going for it and is the best way to decriminalize prostitution:
1. The Supreme Court (7 to 2) overturned all sodomy laws left on the books in 2003 in the Lawrence v. the State of Texas, which held that the state "cannot demean an individual’s existence or control their destiny by making their private sexual conduct a crime."
2. In 2015 the same sex marriage case Obergefell v. Hodges, the Supreme Court confirmed that the Due Process Clause prevents the State from intruding upon adults as they decide how to conduct their private, sexual lives. At the most rudimentary level of ***ysis, Obergefell affects this case because it reaffirms that “Lawrence confirmed a dimension of freedom that allows individuals to engage in *** association without criminal liability”.
3. If we don't have this fight now in the Supreme Court, the radical feminists current war on sex workers and their patrons will make this hobby a very dangerous one to keep. They are using civil forfeiture to take the vehicles of men arrested and moving to enact laws to put anyone convicted of soliciting on the sex offender register. It is our responsibility as Americans involved in the sex industry to stand up for our civil rights and defend our civil liberty.
4. We currently have the same Supreme Court justices since 2003, except for Anthony Skaleia, but he was never on our side so it doesn't matter who replaced him. The time to fight is now.

Ok, I'm through. Here's the update . . .

Fundraising
Thanks to all the folks who remember us monthly in their giving which helps keep our dream of keeping sexual privacy alive. As you all may have guessed the legal expenses are starting to mount with our day in court looking to be a costly one. Maxine started a Facebook fundraiser and so far, we’ve received $713 of the $2000 goal - see https://www.facebook.com/donate/1306...er_source=feed

We are now in the most crucial phase of our fundraising - so we can meet our financial obligations - see https://www.crowdrise.com/litigate-t...te/fundraiser/ So far we’ve raised $1020 towards our $12,000 goal. Every contribution helps.

Status of the court case:
*** Arguments at the Ninth Circuit are Thursday October 19th, 2017 at 9 am! Our hearing is in the James R. Browning Courthouse in courtroom 3 at 95 7th St, San Francisco, CA 94103, which is located on 7th at Mission. Each side gets 20 minutes. Parking is nearby on 5th at Mission. No recording devices allowed and the panel of jurist has not yet been published. Security at federal buildings is strict in that they require government ID and walking through a screening device. We don’t know how big the courtroom is or what other issues will be heard that day so there may be a line to get in. But we will be there…!

Press conference following the hearing. Maxine is preparing press packets which will be posted on the website. For those those who don’t want to be featured in the press, please be aware of photographers and reporters who try to engage you in conversation. Feel free to say “no comment” or tell them you don’t want to be photographed. If you do decide to speak out, please stick to the talking points raised by our lawyers in the *** arguments.

Celebrate with a fundraiser/lunch. Following the press conference we are having a fundraiser/lunch at a special local private dungeon space just a few blocks from the courthouse (at Mission and 6th). You can speak personally to our lawyers and get all your questions answered after the hearing. And I know I’ll be hungry after expending all my energy on our historic hearing. Food and Drink awaits. Donations are $20 and up with no one turned away for lack of funds. Sign up at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3090684
